Ice-T's "The Art of Rap" Trailer...

Coming soon....

Gangster Trippin' - Ice T Interview on Quietus.com

Joel McIver over at the UK's Quietus.com has written a great write up and interview with the Iceberg;

"You commented on Gulf War 1 and the decay of American society on the O.G. album. Two decades later, is the world a better place?

Ice T: I do believe that in my lifetime, this is the most fucked-up time yet.

Even worse than 20 years ago, with the LA riots and 'Cop Killer'?

IT: You're right. Of course, in the 80s and the early 90s there was all the police bullshit, but now we're in a global scenario. My neighbourhood was fucked-up back then, and it continues to be, but South Central wasn't worried about somebody blowing up the goddamn world, neither. So, overall it's a lot more fucked-up. Nobody trusts anybody, everybody is looking at everybody crazy. Even in England you guys are having situations, and it's not something that seems like it's ever gonna go away."

Ice-T Cleared on all those (Bullsh*t) Charges!

Ice-T found himself on the right side of the law yesterday, after unlicensed driving charges were dropped by New York prosecutors. State lawyers admitted there had been a clerical error when the rapper was arrested last month. "That's what I'm talking about! Dismissed!" the Iceberg shouted into the court.

As for the dumb ass haters Ice dropped some knowledge over Twitter "Street credibility has nothing to do with going to jail, it has everything to do with staying out."

Damn we'll have to put those FREE ICE-T shirts on hold!

Ice-T Guest on new Ras Kass Album A.D.I.D.A.S (listen to track here)

After a gap of nearly 12 years Ras Kas drops his new Kickstarter-funded A.D.I.D.A.S. The title which is an acronym for All Day I Dream About Spitting. The album is picking up some great reviews and features a huge lineup of collaberations including; Royce Da 5’9", Canibus, Chino XL, Jean Grae and old skool friend Ice-T! Ice-T and Ras Kass go way back, check out this cameo in Ras Kass's 1998 video for 'Ghetto Fabulous'

HipHopDX write favourably about the album but of the collaborations highlight Ice's verses; "Artists like Royce Da 5’9", Canibus, and Chino XL usually steal the show lyrically on an album and while all bring forth dope contributions none are Ras Kass. Only Jean Grae and Ice-T’s verses stand out in a project full of quotables from Ras Kass."

You can hear the whole album online at http://raskass.bandcamp.com/album/a-d-i-d-a-s
The track with Ice on it is called Mind Control and can be streamed here http://raskass.bandcamp.com/track/mind-control-ft-ice-t-wais-p

Ice-T Sample opens new "Ramzez - The Formula Volume 2"

Miami New Times 24th June, MIXTAPE OF THE WEEK

"Ramzez, along with Valholla, released The Formula Volume 1 a while ago to much fanfare -- so much so that the long-awaited The Formula Volume 2 mixtape is now available. It's hosted and mixed by Nightbreederz / Shadyville / ThisIs50 affiliate DJ Young Cee.

The mixtape starts off with a classic Ice-T quote where he says that the music is "not supposed to be positive. This music is negative because the streets are negative." After a few more words from Ice-T, the mixtape kicks off to 23 tracks of Ramzez going in on a variety of original beats and already-existing instrumentals."

Ice-T to Speak to Foster Youth in Texas...

The BoomBox and My San Antonio report that Ice-T is to donate his time to foster kids in Texas at the Texas Foster Youth Conference, they report;

"As for why he's a great speaker for the event, Ice pointed out that the youth is usually reluctant when listening to people like police officers or other authority figures. - "He was an orphan early on and he knows the issues our foster youth face," explained conference organizer Nancy Bonilla. "Because of his celebrity status, he brings recognition to the issues, and a big part of the conference is to bring awareness to the issues."
